 Open Hands Project

On March 20th, St. Kizito Foundation kicked off a drive to find as many sponsors as we have students.  The average cost to support a student for one year is $350, and we hope to reach at least 400 people or groups that are willing to open their hands and help make the world a better place by donating $350 or more. Who We Serve

• Currently over 400 school-age children in Northern Uganda benefit from this fund.  Most are in high school.
• The children are enrolled in 40 to 50 different schools.
• Most have lost at least one parent to war or HIV/AIDS.
• Approximately 60% of the children were kidnapped and forced into the war.  They either escaped or were rescued.

Our Needs

• The St. Kizito Scholarship Fund currently requires over $160,000.00 annually to provide nurture, shelter, medicine and education to these children.  We hope to expand our support to more children through your generosity. 
• A donation of $350.00 provides one child with food, shelter, education, medicine and counseling for an entire year.

The St. Kizito Foundation strives to make the most of the generosity of our donors.  Only a very small percentage of our income is used for operating costs.  Our goal is to keep our expenses under 10%. 

The smallest kindness makes a great difference in the lives of the St. Kizito Scholars.  These children revel in the attention and love that they receive from others, and are extremely grateful for the interest St. Kizito Foundation takes in their futures.  We hope that you will offer your prayers for them and tell as many people as possible about their situation.  If you would like to offer your financial support as well, we accept donations at:
